Frequently asked questions
How does MacroDine decide what to recommend?
It runs an on-device optimizer over verified chain nutrition data to find orders that best fit your remaining macros for the day, then ranks them and adds a short explanation. The core recommendation runs on your device.
Where does the nutrition data come from?
Chain data is compiled from publicly available nutrition sources. The app ranks and explains items but never invents a menu item. Values from Menu Scan are AI estimates and are labeled as such.
What's free vs. Premium?
Free includes 3 recommendations per week. Premium adds unlimited recommendations, Menu Scan, GLP-1 mode, and Apple Health sync, at $7.99/week, $19.99/month, or $39.99/year (3-day free trial on the yearly plan).
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. On your iPhone: open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, select MacroDine, and choose Cancel. Cancelling at least 24 hours before renewal stops the next charge.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and request a refund for MacroDine.
How do I turn Apple Health sync on or off?
Open MacroDine → Settings and toggle "Sync to Apple Health." You can also manage permissions in the iOS Health app or in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health. MacroDine only writes macros; it never reads your Health data.
Is my data private?
Yes. MacroDine works without an account, stores your profile and history on your device, and uses no third-party analytics or tracking. See our Privacy Policy.
Menu Scan didn't read my menu well — what can I do?
Capture the menu straight-on in good light, and use the multi-photo option to cover the sections you care about. Menu Scan values are estimates; double-check anything that looks off.
